What it does — and what it never does

Your phone carries your own statement fetches and nothing else. It never carries another customer’s traffic, and nobody else’s phone carries yours.
Only StatementKeep
The helper is not an open proxy. It only connects to the institutions on your own account list, only when StatementKeep is fetching your statements.
It cannot read what it carries
Your phone forwards encrypted traffic between StatementKeep and your bank. It passes the sealed envelope along; it cannot open it, read it, or change it.
Off anytime
One toggle in the app turns it off, instantly. No waiting period, no support ticket. Turn it back on whenever you like.
Light on battery, light on data
A statement fetch is a sign-in and a few PDF downloads — closer to reading a handful of emails than streaming a video. The app shows a running counter of the data it has carried and respects a monthly cap, so there are no surprises on your bill.
The honest part
Your phone is doing a small favor for you, and only you. It never earns us anything from anyone else’s traffic, because it never carries anyone else’s traffic. This is not a proxy network you have joined; it is your own errand, run on your own line.
Android and iPhone behave differently
On Android
The helper runs quietly in the background. A small notification shows it is ready, and fetches go through without you touching the phone.
On iPhone
Apple does not allow this kind of helper to run in the background, so it works while the StatementKeep app is open. When it is time to fetch, open the app and keep the screen awake for a few minutes — we will tell you when.
To get started, open the StatementKeep app on your phone and turn on “Help fetch my statements from this phone.” The accounts that need it unlock the moment your phone comes online.
